1. 1. Black. If some media is black color, it says the content of potassium permanganate is very high. Like 12 percent , it is near to balck, and you could see the inner bag is near to black. But when you get ride of the surface liner, you could see inner is purple. Why? This is because after a long time, some potassium permanganate will seperate out from alumina and distribute in the surface of media. Though not beautiful, its performance is much better. It means the blacker, the better performance.
1. 2. Uneven color----Some beads are light purple, but some dark purple. Please check if the inner bags or outside bags are broken. If broken, it will bring media with different water, then it will show different light and dark color. The beads with light color will have little impact in performance, but it is very little. Please don't worry the using effect.

2.1 Uneven color. Because of the properity of sodium permangate, with 12 percent sodium permanagate, this media will not become dark. But its production technology decides the longer, uneven color. It means light color will has less water. But it is inevitable. Mainly sodium permangate property decides it. When we produce sodium permangante media and potassium permanganate, the sodium media is very beautiful, but after about 1 month, the sodium media will show uneven color, but potassium permanagte will not. Though umeven color, sodium permanganate media is better performance then potassium permanagate media in the same content.
If you are using media before with beautiful color, it says the lower content of potassium permanganate or not true sodium permanagate. You could check the property of sodium permangate and potassium permanagate t certify it. Please store them in vemtilated and cool room. Please don't give them sunbath.
